To Magister Masastarum:
I have arrived at the city. I have to say that even though I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to begin my journeymage process, I do not like Harrowynd at all. Everyone is everywhere all the time, and sometimes important locations like libraries are not open (but no one is asleep).
My new companions talk to me more than I am used to, and almost always they are expecting me to reply. I will have to think of new things to say and remember them, so I can respond fast enough. Here is a list of the people I am traveling with:
- Charsea. She is a dancer and fights with swords. She likes to move around a lot and is always very vague about things if anyone ever asks her questions. According to Shen, he hired her to be the muscle. Both I and Shen were a little confused by that, since Charsea is very small and probably could not lift very much at all.
- Kayril Steelhammer. He looked like a human but is actually a firbolg. Pretty normal person; he was hired as a blacksmith and is very friendly. He is taller than me.
- Autumn Hagen. I think she is one of the types of magicians that doesn’t use a book, but I don’t know what her power source is. She is apparently the delver of the group, hired on by Shen. Strange, because she so far seems to know next to nothing about delving.
- Winged Step. A tabaxi that looks like a jaguar. She’s very good at making clothes and is very fast. She was also hired on as muscle, which makes sense.
Everyone keeps asking me if I can eat or drink. I try to keep my cloak up to hide my structure but it’s hard to be hidden when I’m taller than almost everyone and a weird color. Incense likes the city for some reason.
A couple of hours ago a group of people tried to use a spell scroll to destroy the whole tavern and kill everyone in it, but I stopped the spell so it was fine.
I hope you enjoy this letter.
Sincerely,
