Dicana’s Path is a temple district located in Inner Aideum comprised of various cults of Selk and their temples and shrines. It consists of a single large, complex building with attachments and extensions at irregular intervals. Inside the building, a series of narrow, interlocking pathways and tunnels open into larger spaces that house individually built, free-standing structures. Other halls have doors that lead to rooms of various sizes. The maze of tunnels and pathways leads to a central shrine, the official shrine to Selk in Aideum.
Dicana’s Path remains perpetually in dim lighting, with magically powered lanterns keeping the enclosed maze from total darkness. In the open areas, individual cults build and maintain their own temples and the aesthetic around it – some temples house loud, bright cults, while others remain austere, with everything in between. The cults of Selk are as varied as the paths.
Notable Temples
The district is named for Dicana, the blind monk who walked until his death. The maze-like internal structure was built around the concept of the path he took.
