A lonesome owl flies north carried by warm trade winds over the majestic sanctums and sprawling cityscape of Aideum. From its high vantage it can see the ruins of the sea wall that runs across the entirety of the west coastline a once mighty stalwart against imperialist invaders. It flies farther sailing across the Meridian Expanse its vast orchards and farmland arrayed in neat plots. A storm blows the owl east over the East Marches crouched in the shadow of the  Lucidum Mountains, whose black rocks glitter in the receding daylight. From there the owl flies north to the black barked and haunted woods of the Malum Wode and the frigged granite cliffs of the Kepsesk.
